What You'll Be Doing
The Surgical tech coordinator is responsible for patient care by providing direct support during surgical procedures, supervising adherence to infection control standards, and logistical coordination that ensure patient safety. The surgical tech coordinator’s primary focus on patient care is maintaining the highest possible standard of surgical environment and procedure.
What We're Looking For
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency. Graduate of Accredited Surgical Technician Program approved by: CAAHEP - Commission on Accreditation of Allied health Education Programs or ABHES - Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools
- BLS approved by AHA - American Heart Association
- Surgical Technician Certification (CST) Authorized by: NBSTA - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
- Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in an Operating Room, ideally with some supervisor experience
- Skills: Possess excellent problem-solving, mentorship, time management, and priority-setting skills. Ability to manage a high volume of cases and intricate details.
The coordinator can pick up shifts if all attempts to find coverage failed.
