Job Summary and Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Coordinate qualify patient care under the supervision of the provider(s).
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assess patient, collect appropriate data, and perform testing to prepare patient for physician visit.
- Maintain patient flow through the clinic.
- Forward tests results and documentation to physician for review; execute orders as received. Notify patient of test results and ensure appropriate follow up per protocol.
- Timely response of all patient care inquiries.
- Complete patient refills as requested by both patient and pharmacy, ensuring appropriate labs are ordered per protocol.
- Patient and family/caregiver education.
Education:
- BSN or AS in Nursing
License/Certification:
- Valid Tennessee RN License
- BLS Certification
Qualifications:
- One year in a clinical nursing setting
- Cardiology experience a plus.
