Position Summary
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for assisting with venue distribution/warehouse operations, including inventory management, receiving, distribution, stocking, cleanup, transfers, and equipment maintenance. This is a key position for the effective and profitable operation of the business. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event-driven schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self-direction, and independent decision-making skills are required.
This role pays an hourly rate of $13.00 to $17.00

About the Venue
PPL Center is a state-of-the-art multipurpose arena in downtown Allentown, PA and home of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The arena seats more than 10,000 for concerts and more than 8,500 for Lehigh Valley Phantoms professional hockey games, making it the region’s largest events venue.
The amenities-packed PPL Center hosts more than 150 events each year, offering something for everyone, including the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the AHL affiliate of the NHL Philadelphia Flyers, live concerts, family shows, trade shows, youth sports, high school and collegiate events, conferences, graduations, and so many more.
Responsibilities
- Must demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellence in the areas of guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
- Responsible for greeting guests in a respectful and friendly manner that enhances the customers experience in our facility.
- Responsible for assisting with receiving and distribution control for the venue.
- Responsible for stocking all stands, bars, and portable locations. Attention to detail, including to company standards of inventory control, sanitation, presentation, and quality is required at all times.
- Maintain sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas.
- Fulfill all event expectations including but not limited to requisitioning during events, post-event break down, warehouse returns, equipment storage, sanitation, and maintenance.
- Oversee and ensure that appropriate stocking levels are met for each event; rotate food products during the stocking process to ensure the freshest products are being served to guests.
- Ensure proper transfer process of product between locations, including any follow-up documentation necessary.
- Assist in cleaning and performing routine maintenance as requested and able on concession and utility equipment, portable equipment, burden carriers, carts, floors, refrigeration, and lighting.
- Ensure appropriate equipment is at each location prior to events.
- Conduct walkthrough of the warehouse, stands, portables, bars, and storage areas to ensure that all garbage and recycling has been removed and disposed of appropriately.
- Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be 18 or over.
- Possess valid food handling certificate and RAMP certification if required by state and federal regulations (or be willing to obtain one within a 60 day time-frame from date of hire).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, management staff, volunteers and guests.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, some holidays and long hours.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
