Job Overview
We are looking for a fun and dynamic individual to join our Cafeteria Team as a Sr Food Service Worker (Cashier). Not your typical hospital cafeteria! Shriners Children's Greenville offers a colorful, upbeat and fun work environment. As a member of our Nutrition Services team, you will be key in the success of the operations of the Nutrition Services department!

The successful candidate will be available to work on weekdays from 6:45AM to 3:15PM.
Responsibilities
- Set-up cafeteria, breakfast line, fresh fruit, juice, cereal, etc.
- Stock grab and go, refrigerator, soda case, beverage stations, snack baskets, and brew tea.
- Operates cash register to account for all customers served in the cafeteria during meal service.
- Identify and handle all transactions correctly for staff, doctors, volunteers, parent charges and guests.
- Opens and closes cash register which includes counting cash bank to assure accuracy, balancing cash drawer, and complete reports.
- Maintains inventory and stock by ensuring that all areas are clean and well stock at all times.
- Cleans beverage stations, tables, and cash register area through out cafeteria meal service.
- Maintains food preparation techniques and cleaning/use of utensils and work area according to Department of Health regulations and departmental procedure.
- Make cookies, cut pies, weigh and bag fruit.
- Serve on the line when needed.
- Assist with catered functions and special events.
Qualifications
Required:
High-school graduate/GED
1 year Short order cook/salad prep experience
Preferred:
Serve Safe certified
Less than 1 year of cashier experience
