What You'll Be Doing
Consistently makes rounds on patients to ensure their comfort, provide reading material, communicates about any delays to patients, etc
* Works with Charge Nurse and/or nursing staff to contact social worker when patient/family issues require social service intervention.
* Works with Patient Access to ensure patients are registered timely and efficiently.
* Works with bed management to expedite patient transfers to unit.
* Upon patient admission, visits patient on the unit to provide continuity of service excellence. To ensure patient is comfortable and answers any questions or concerns.
* Voluntarily seeks out other duties as time permits to facilitate flow and communication in the ED
* Identifies issues that need further attention or problem solving to improve overall operation.
* Participates in the ED Service Excellence Committee to track and trend the PG ED scores. Provide education and training for all ED staff and physicians. Communicates and celebrates achievements. Plans and executes action plan for improvement with Director of Emergency Dept and AVP Service Excellence
* Perform any other duties requested by Director of Emergency Dept / AVP Service Excellence
