Location: CUMC-Bergan Internal Medicine Clinic
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p, NO weekends, NO holidays & NO call!
The Clinic RN Lead serves as the clinical expert and team lead for our nursing and clinical support staff within the internal medicine clinic. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient, high-quality delivery of patient care while fostering staff engagement and implementing best practices. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who excels at clinical problem-solving, is a natural mentor, and contributes to a positive, supportive team culture.
- Coordinate and oversee daily clinical activities, ensuring efficient patient flow and optimal staff coverage.
- Collaborate closely with providers and practice management to develop and implement improved workflows and efficiency.
- Perform independent patient assessments and telephone/in-person triage using standardized protocols to determine the level and urgency of care needed.
- Administer medications by oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal routes, IV.
- Follows nursing policies and procedures for Intravenous infusion.
- Perform phlebotomy and collects specimen for various tests.
- Educate patient and/or family on prescribed treatment regimens.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must have a current/valid RN license from the state licensing board
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire
- 2 years of clinic nursing experience required
- 2 years of lead / supervisory experience strongly preferred
