Job Summary and Responsibilities
The CHI Health Summer Nurse Internship program is an opportunity for future RNs to get invaluable hands-on experience under the guidance of a nurse preceptor. Participants will not only expand theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, but also earn market-leading competetive pay.
Contribute to the assessment of health status of individuals. This will include interactions with family members or group members.
Contribute to establishment of nursing diagnoses which identify(ies) the needs of the client/patient.
Respond to patient calls anticipate patient needs and assure patient safety and comfort through hourly rounding environmental maintenance and other appropriate safety measures.
Contribute in the development of the plan of care for individuals.
Perform and work to ensure safe knowledgeable and age-specific patient care.
Make entries in the medical record consistent with and limited to scope of job duties and applicable licensure.
Cares are in accordance with assigned tasks and permitted by the Nursing Skills Checklist.
- Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with projected graduation dates between December 2026 and summer 2027
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Current CNA listing on the Nurse Aide Registry of the state in which you work upon hire.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
