Job Description
To ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained hotel environment.
- Rate Per Hour – Local 3 Contract stipulates $44.28 to start and $45.83 on March 1, 2026 contract rate date increase.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all the refrigeration equipment in the building.
- Maintain all HVAC equipment in the building (guestrooms, public areas, function rooms)
- Provide technical assistance to other technicians as necessary.
- Work on other equipment as needed.
- Maintain inventory and orders HVAC supplies.
- Monitoring and operation of BMS (Building Management System).
- Maintain and protect guest room equipment, furnishings, fixtures and finishes. Assist mechanics and other engineers with all repairs as needed.
- Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
- Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations. Delivery of 5-Diamond service standards such as:
- Uniformed with name badges, in harmony with the theme of the property. o Knowledgeable about property and surrounding areas. o Polite and professional at all times.
- Gracious acknowledgement and greeting to all guests. o Maintains eye contact with all guests.
- Takes responsibility for guest's inquiries and problems. o Uses Guest's name frequently
Qualifications
- Must have HVAC License
- Must have three plus years of HVAC experience, preferably in a hotel environment
- Ability and desire to learn new skills and repairs. Must have strong communication and writing skills.
- Requires general computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel and ability to learn other relative engineering programs. Must be organized and mechanically inclined with strong desire to learn building mechanics.
- Understanding of problem solving with minimal guest, associate or client disruption.
- Must interact with guests, associates and clients in a professional manner.
- Prior guest service experience required, preferably in hotels.
- Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and performance
