JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to design and build our future-state cloud infrastructure while supporting our current hybrid environment. This role will architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions, maintain our hybrid Active Directory/Entra ID environment, and manage connectivity across our 250+ communities and our legacy data center. The Enterprise Architect owns the technical roadmap for our cloud transformation journey, establishing modern infrastructure patterns for long-term success and leading a strategic, phased migration from on-premises to the cloud.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Duties

The unique responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the essential functions listed as follows:

• Establish foundational patterns for networking, security, identity, compute, storage, and observability.
• Develop and own the technical roadmap for cloud transformation and data center migration.
• Translate business strategy and requirements into reference architectures and implementation plans.
• Present trade-offs and total cost of ownership (TCO) implications; align investments to business priorities and ROI.
• Architect and maintain hybrid connectivity between cloud platforms, data center, and branch offices.
• Support and optimize hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID during transition; plan identity modernization.
• Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulating authorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed throughout this job description are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

• Enterprise networking: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, BGP, routing, VLANs, segmentation, NSGs/network ACLs, Hybrid Connectivity.
• Identity: Hybrid AD/Entra ID architectures; federation, SSO, conditional access.
• Cloud: Deep experience with cloud migrations, sequencing, re-platforming, and cost management.
• Certifications: Solutions Architect professional or equivalent.
• 8+ years in Enterprise operations, Systems Engineering, or Software Development.
