This position offers the chance to work in a high-acuity cardiac care setting alongside board-certified cardiologists, providing outpatient and limited inpatient care to patients with cardiovascular conditions.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:• Conduct patient assessments and cardiac evaluations• Manage chronic cardiac conditions such as CHF, CAD, arrhythmias, and post-MI care• Assist with medication management, lifestyle counseling, and patient education• Collaborate with cardiologists to monitor and adjust treatment plans• Support post-discharge follow-up and transitional care

Qualifications
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois• Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with cardiology experience• At least 1 year of experience in cardiology or internal medicine preferred• ACLS and BLS certification required

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
