Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Inpatient Nurse at CHI Health’s Midlands Hospital, you’ll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients admitted to our unit. This position provides you with the opportunity to build on your education and experience in the medical surgical oncology service line.
We are offering up to a $15,000 Sign On Bonus and up to $10,000 in student loan repayment assistance for this position.
Our Nursing units, while separate, work together; and nearly all Surgery, Inpatient, and Emergency RN’s are cross trained to work in the other departments. You will receive individual, personal attention to ensure your long term success in this role. We practice and value teamwork and collaboration here. What You’ll Do
This is an excellent role for someone who dislikes routine and wants to keep their skills sharp. Your day-to-day nursing tasks will depend on the tailored needs of your patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing team to devise and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Administer medications change dressings monitor vital signs and chart with timely documentation
- Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work care coordination physical therapy occupational therapy lab respiratory therapy and imaging
- Educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits while fostering a supportive and compassionate environment
- Graduate of an RN nursing program.

- BLS-CPR;
- ACLS - within 5 months
- Knowledge of current nursing practice, critical thinking skills, professional verbal and written communication skills, technical/computer skills, attention to detail, customer service skills, adaptability, maintain confidentiality.
