Overview
Install, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment, instrumentation, and support systems of moderate complexity used in the manufacturing of medical devices. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
• Perform installations and repairs of electro-mechanical and pneumatic equipment.• Perform Preventative Maintenance activities as scheduled.• Perform Calibration activities as scheduled.• Perform and document, equipment spare part research and control.• Play an active part in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).• Document equipment installation, repairs and preventative maintenance in compliance with company quality requirements.• Work with outside suppliers and cross-departmental teams. • Ability to accommodate changing shift requirements.• Accountable for responding to after hours emergency calls.• Ability to read, write, and understand documentation, equipment manuals, and drawings.• Able to understand installation/equipment process set-up sheets, wiring diagrams.
* Troubleshooting, programming and maintaining automated systems using PLCs.
• Provide input to supervisor/manager to improve department operation and efficiency.• Play an active part in participating in team discussions suggesting improvements.• Identify and report possible preventative and corrective actions.• Works independently and as a team member, referring questions and problems to the department management.• Responsible for compliance to the company's Quality Policy Manual and Procedures.• Responsible for compliance to the company's safety policies.• Must maintain a positive and professional representation of the company in the field.• Must maintain confidential access to the company's new and/or existing products and processes.• Adhere and support Cook Values.
Qualifications
• Experience in a technical discipline or Associate degree in related field.• A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred.• Must pass a post-offer physical exam and drug test.• Self-starter with good interpersonal skills.• Good written and verbal communications/ability to get along with others.
• Good judgment, organizational skills.• Detail-oriented.• Problem solving skills related to electro-mechanical production equipment, fixtures and automated machinery.• Basic computer entry/retrieval skills.• Good written and verbal communications/ability to get along with others.
Physical Requirements:
• Good visual acuity.• Good manual dexterity.• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds.• Majority of work is performed in controlled environments that require special attire.
• Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals and material.
