Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I to support University Hospitals’ Ambulatory Clinics across Northeast Ohio. This role requires frequent travel to multiple outpatient and specialty clinic locations, providing hands-on support to ensure medical equipment remains safe, reliable, and fully operational.

As part of Sodexo’s expanding Healthcare Technology Management division, we are looking for a solution-oriented professional with a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently across a variety of care environments.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of biomedical and clinical equipment in ambulatory care settings.

• Travel to multiple clinic locations across Northeast Ohio, ensuring timely response to service needs.

• Document all service activities thoroughly in the CMMS system, following established HTM procedures and compliance standards.

• Communicate effectively with clinical teams to ensure equipment needs are met and service expectations are exceeded.

• Prioritize and manage a mobile service workload, working independently to resolve mechanical and technical issues.

• Assist with incoming equipment checks, device installations, and basic system integrations across clinic sites.

• Support safety initiatives, equipment readiness, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

• Collaborate with fellow HTM team members to maintain consistency and high quality across all ambulatory locations.

What You Bring

• Strong mechanical skills required; ability to diagnose and repair equipment with precision and reliability.

• Prior experience working with biomedical or electromechanical equipment preferred.

• Customer-service–driven mindset with excellent communication skills.

• Ability to travel daily throughout Northeast Ohio; valid driver’s license required.

• Technical training in Biomedical Equipment, Electronics, Mechanical Systems, or related field preferred.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mobile service environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment and/or equivalent of military BMET program and/or AAMI certified
