Job Overview
The staff pharmacist position is responsible for maintaining daily operations of the Pharmacy Department in accordance with established policies of the hospital, applicable laws and in accordance with accepted standards of good pharmacy practice. Demonstrated knowledge in pediatric pharmaceutical services and provides pharmaceutical care for infant, toddler, preschool aged and young adult (up to age 21) patients. Shriners Children's Spokane is looking for a part time Pharmacist to join the team!
The pay range for this position is $45.35-$77.73/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.
Responsibilities
- The Pharmacist properly checks, prepares, and distributes medications, and ensures proper control measures of medication and medication storage areas.
- Follows and maintains standards to ensure exceptional service to all customers. This includes monitoring internal indicators and taking corrective action as needed.
- Maintains current knowledge of specialized products, techniques, procedures, and processes within SHSHCnd within professional / departmental scope.
- Maintains a safe work environment and prevents injury to self and others. Follows departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- Provides for the timely delivery of products-which are 100% safe; properly identifies, controlled as mandated by the law and in accordance with this facilities business practices.
- Assesses physician orders for acceptable dosage, allergy tolerance, drug interaction, appropriateness, timing and cost effectiveness, initiating change whenever indicated. Maintains pharmacy profiles on all inpatients and those outpatients for whom pharmaceutical service is initiated.
