Frequently asked questions

Part-time Food & Beverage Supervisors at Dallas Convention Center typically have flexible schedules focused on event-driven shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Unlike full-time roles, this position offers 401(k) benefits but may have varied hours based on event demands, making it ideal for those seeking a dynamic, part-time hospitality leadership experience.

Strong communication skills, decisiveness, and the ability to multitask under pressure are crucial. Supervisors must effectively coordinate staff, ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and maintain guest satisfaction during fast-paced events, all while adapting quickly to shifting event requirements.

Handling last-minute changes in banquet orders, managing diverse teams during peak events, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and alcohol service guidelines are frequent hurdles. Balancing operational efficiency with excellent customer service in a large, dynamic venue requires adaptability and proactive problem-solving.

Florida mandates food handlers cards and alcohol awareness certifications for supervisors managing food and beverage services. Locally, venues often require these credentials alongside ongoing compliance training to meet state health regulations and ensure safe event operations.

The hospitality sector in West Palm Beach shows steady demand due to tourism and event hosting, but part-time supervisory roles can be competitive. Candidates with proven leadership experience and certifications relevant to food safety and alcohol service gain a significant edge in this market.

Supervisors at Dallas Convention Center engage directly with high-profile events, requiring meticulous coordination with multiple departments. The role involves not only event oversight but also mentoring staff and ensuring compliance with strict operational standards, creating a richly varied supervisory experience.

This position offers exposure to large-scale event management and leadership in a top-tier venue, enhancing skills in team supervision, compliance, and operational logistics. Such experience can propel advancement toward assistant manager or director roles in food service and event management sectors.

The role offers an hourly wage ranging from $24.00 to $25.00, reflecting competitive compensation for part-time supervisory hospitality positions in West Palm Beach. This pay scale aligns with the responsibilities of overseeing event operations and staff in a high-demand venue.

The center provides comprehensive training on food handling, alcohol awareness, and safety protocols. Supervisors receive ongoing support to enforce standards and are encouraged to promptly report compliance concerns, ensuring events meet all federal, state, and local regulations.

A supervisor starts by reviewing banquet event orders, conducting pre-event staff briefings, and confirming inventory availability. Throughout the event, they monitor service quality, address any issues, and coordinate breakdown post-event, ensuring seamless execution and guest satisfaction.
