Job Summary and Responsibilities
Performs CT scanning, recommends performance improvement activities, and assists in equipment and
procedure evaluations in the mobile stroke setting.
- Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. CT scans include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, Cardiac and Interventional Procedures, Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others. Uses ALARA on every exam when selecting parameters for exam based on patient age and habitatus.
- Displays competency performing procedures; follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifier, hand hygiene and universal precautions. Always produces high quality diagnostic exams. Accurately enters, selects and/or merges the correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system.
- Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups, such as perfusions & reconstructions, on the 3-D workstation
- Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol. Completes exams in Radnet.
- Completes incident reports/extravasations forms. Completes patient contrast information forms. Scans in
documentation as required into PACS
