We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Clinical Education and Practice Specialist to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for orienting, training, and educating our team of master's level clinicians. Your expertise will help shape the clinical practices within our organization, ensuring that best practices and evidence-based interventions are consistently applied. You’ll collaborate closely with clinicians to enhance their skills, provide ongoing professional development, and support the delivery of high-quality care. Responsibilities
- Supports professional behavioral health clinical roles and clinical specialty programs at system and operational levels in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of clinical education and practice initiatives.
- Specific activities will be defined by clinical leadership.
- Planning and provision of general clinician orientation.
- Development, review, revision and management of patient care standards.
- Competency assessment, education of clinical staff in behavioral health, assessment of staff learning needs, and develops clinical workflows.
- Works in collaboration with behavioral health Nursing Education and Practice Support Specialists.
- Other activities will be defined by the department leadership.
Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s or doctorate degree in behavioral health (MSW, MS, MA, Ph.D or PsyD.) required.
Experience:
- Four years of relevant behavioral health clinical experience at proficient to expert level of practice required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles as evidenced by the ability to facilitate learning for patients/families, nursing staff or other members of the healthcare team.
- Effective teaching and communication skills.
- Strong meeting facilitation and group process skills.
- Ability to work effectively in teams, and independently.
- Knowledge of performance excellence Lean principles; ability to apply performance excellence Lean process.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff and leadership to implement change.
Licensure
- Current applicable Oregon state licensure required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PhD. or PsyD.) or QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) certification.
Pay Range
