Job Summary and Responsibilities
This is a casual/prn float position and would be available to work at any and all of the CHI Health Clinic Pharmacies - Omaha locations: [CUMC Bergan, 132nd and Center, 161st and Maple, 42nd and L, Bellevue, Elkhorn, Florence, Immanuel, Lakeside, LaVista, Midlands, Immanuel Family Health Center] and also Council Bluffs Iowa locations: [West Broadway and Valley View].
We are seeking a detail-oriented Retail Pharmacy Tech to join our team. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, this role supports prescription processing, medication preparation, dispensing, customer service, and pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations and CommonSpirit Health policies.
Accurately enter, verify, and prepare prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, including compounding, reconstitution, and labeling as applicable.
Dispense medications and perform cashiering/customer service duties while maintaining a professional and patient-focused approach.
Assist with inventory management, stocking medications, tracking orders, and maintaining proper storage of controlled and non-controlled substances.
Manage insurance claims, billing, and prior authorization communications with providers as needed.
Operate and maintain pharmacy technology and automated dispensing systems.
Support pharmacy workflow through administrative tasks, phone call triage, and collaboration with the pharmacy team.
Registered/licensed Pharmacy Tech in the State of NE (https://dhhs.ne.gov/licensure/pages/pharmacy-technician.aspx) required prior to start date.
Active CPT-EXCPT or CPT-PTCB or CPHT certification in good standing is required after one year from the registration/licensure date.
