Overview
We’re looking for a board-certified or board-eligible Urologist to join our team! Our service area has a huge need for Urology and you can be as busy as you would like right away. We have a growing team with great ancillary staff, a physician-led supportive administrative staff and great hospital partners.
Responsibilities
Urologist Duties:
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and disorders of the organs of the urinary system
- Provide specialized medical care to patients
- Assemble appropriate diagnostic and treatment strategies
- Maintain and update professional knowledge by participating in continuing medical education
- Monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust to changes in patient conditions
- Utilize physician referral services for consultations
- Encourage and maintain open and supportive relationships with patients and their families
- Maintain effective relationships with other physicians
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records
- Supervise well trained ancillary staff, to include PAs, Naps and nurses
Urologist Responsibilities:
- Manage the full spectrum of multiple surgical procedures and non-surgical procedures for male and female patients, including prostate, kidney, bladder, and kidney stones
- Perform office-based procedures such as cystoscopy, urodynamics, urodynamics with uroflowmetry, and bladder biopsies
- Perform surgical procedures, including cystoscopy, TURP, ureteroscopy, prostatectomy, prostatectomy with pelvic lymph node dissection, and bladder neck suspension
- Perform ultrasound-guided procedures and injections
- Perform vascular and urologic procedures
- Incoming patients, schedule appointments, and develop treatment plans
- Perform minimally invasive surgery
- Communicate with referring physicians, insurance companies, and other medical professionals
- Attend staff meetings, conferences and continuing education courses
- Manage patient records and billings
