Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Coordinate Stroke Patient Care– Manage care from admission through discharge, ensuring continuity and quality.
- Lead Quality Improvement Initiatives– Analyze outcomes and implement strategies to enhance stroke care performance.
- Educate Staff and Families– Provide ongoing training on stroke protocols to nursing teams, patients, and caregivers.
- Promote Community Awareness– Develop and lead outreach programs to increase stroke awareness and prevention.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance– Maintain adherence to national/state guidelines and hospital policies.
- Collaborate Across Departments– Facilitate communication among healthcare teams to support seamless patient care and satisfaction.
Qualifications
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing or higher, preferred
- Current and valid state RN license
- Minimum of five years of critical care experience in the ICU or Emergency Department (or a combination of both), preferred
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained current
- ACLS upon hire and maintained current.
