Responsibilities
CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Responsibilities:
Provide direct personal and nursing care under the direction of licensed nursing staff
Support residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, mobility, and meals
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the charge nurse
Respond promptly and compassionately to resident requests
Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
Collaborate with other CNAs and nursing staff to carry out care plans
Promote residents’ dignity, independence, and comfort

Qualifications
CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Qualifications:
Must be at least 17 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Employment Certificate/Permit required if under 18
Registered with the NYS Nurse Aide Registry (CNA) – Active status with no findings of resident abuse, mistreatment, or misappropriation of property
Prior training and work experience in a geriatric or long-term care setting preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Must demonstrate a caring and respectful attitude toward residents
Ability to supervise and work well with other personnel
Physical stamina and ability to perform constant activity
Must be able to perform duties to established standards of excellence
- This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
