Job Summary
Position Title: Clinical Psychologist
Reporting to: Behavioral Health Department
Job Summary: Department of Behavioral Health at Essen has immediate opening for part- time and full time Clinical Psychologist Responsible for providing direct patient care in outpatient as well as Nursing home facilities. Opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary team at Essen. All sites have strong participation with Essen Health home care coordination, with potential innovative pilot projects. The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible to works with Behavioral Health Team with and offers compassionate, patient centered, evidence-based psychiatric care.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
· Assessment of patients referred by Primary Care Provider (PCP) using evidenced based assessment tools.
· Treatment of behavioral health conditions using evidenced based approaches (CBT, Motivational Interviewing, crisis intervention, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and behavioral activation).
· Make treatment recommendations.
· Refers the patient to Psychiatrist as deemed appropriate
· Monitor client treatment through review of clinical documentation as well as coordination of care with other health providers and health homes.
· Provide crisis intervention services and risk assessment of patients as needed.
· Engage clients with limited utilization of behavioral health service through outreach efforts
· Document services in a timely fashion.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
· Doctoral Degree in clinical or counseling psychology (Ph.D./PsyD)
· Current NYS registration as a Psychologist environment
· Bilingual (Spanish / English) is a plus but not a requirement
Salary: $90,000-$110,000
