You'll provide leadership and coordination, serving as a safe clinical practitioner with independent but collaborative judgment to assure high-quality, cost-effective service.
You will:
- Surgical Environment Safety: Maintain safe surgical environment, including sterile technique.
- Case Support: Assist anesthesia/surgeon; prepare OR (equipment setup); prepare lab specimens; ensure instruments/supplies are ready.
- Circulate/Scrub: Be able to circulate and/or scrub a case.
- Conscious Sedation: Provide Conscious Sedation to Endoscopy patients.
- Patient Assessment & Planning: Continuously assess/re-prioritize patient health status; initiate/maintain individual plan of care.
- Discharge/Transfer Coordination: Collaborate with patient/providers/resources.
- Emergency Response: Prioritize/perform interventions for trauma patients; respond to emergencies using critical thinking.
- Triage: Prioritize and perform patient interventions necessary for triaging patients.
- Patient/Family Education: Participate in teaching.
What You'll Bring:
- Strong Surgical Acumen: Deep understanding of sterile technique, procedures, equipment.
- Critical Thinking & Leadership: Evaluate complex situations, make quick decisions, respond to emergencies; coordinate teams.
- Required Education & Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. (BSN preferred.)
- One (1) year related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting.
- Required Licensure & Certifications:
- Current Oregon RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- ACLS within six (6) months of hire.
