Role Overview
Sodexo Energy and Resource is seeking a Building Automation Systems and Control Manager to provide support for an Oil and Gas Client in Houston, TX. This role ensures that all building systems—including HVAC, lighting, and energy management operate efficiently, reliably, and sustainably. What You'll Do
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of building automation and control system projects.
- Oversee the installation, programming, and commissioning of BAS, including HVAC, lighting and energy management systems.
- Develop and implement standards and best practices for controls integration and system optimization.
- Collaborate with facilities, engineering, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of BAS with enterprise systems.
- Monitor system performance and energy usage; identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) for BAS-related services and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, local building codes).
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex system issues and provide technical support as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including system schematics, programming logic, and maintenance records.

What You Bring
- Proficiency with major BAS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Trane).
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and energy management principles.
- Experience with BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and other communication protocols.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for operational technology (OT) systems.
- Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with smart building technologies and IoT integration preferred.
- Knowledge of data analytics platforms for building performance monitoring preferred.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities preferred.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of engineering experience, with a focus in reliability or project engineering, utilities and facilities management as well as experience managing maintenance teams
