Role Overview
Sodexo #Hiring our Environmental Services - Custodial Manager 1 to join Sodexo at the University at Buffalo, in New York. This position is a OVERNIGHT shift, 11:30pm - 08:00am, primarily M-F, some weekend and holiday shifts. The bulk of our sanitation commitment to our students, faculty and staff is performed OVERNIGHT to provide them with a pristine learning environment during the day. Our ideal candidate for this position will have prior Environmental Service, Housekeeping, Custodial, Maintenance experience with strong, proven communication skills and the ability to prioritize service needs. Excellent customer service skills along with coaching, mentoring and team building coupled with an organized leadership style will drive positive results on a daily basis. Excellent Computer skills are required to communicate with the team, manage payroll in KRONOS, manage reporting for inventory and weekly work completion inspections and safety reporting.Experience working 3rd shift overnight
What You'll Do
- Work the Night shift, 11:30pm - 08:00am, primarily M-F, some weekend and holidays.
- Manage a team of 15+ employees
- Perform all trash and recycle removal on campus and designated off campus sites
- Assist with ensuring a safe working environment through campus for all employees
- Work with customers to ensure satisfaction in areas of housekeeping services, waste removal, and campus event set-up and tear down
- Operate Custodial equipment including but not limited to wet-dry vacuums, extractors, buffers, sprayers, auto scrubbers and electric carts
