Frequently asked questions
Seven Hills Foundation values LPNs holding a current Massachusetts license and CPR certification. Familiarity with DDS regulations and medication administration programs adds a competitive edge when applying for LPN roles at their Mashpee location.
Mashpee's healthcare sector has a moderate demand for LPNs, with organizations like Seven Hills Foundation seeking skilled nurses. Candidates with 1-3 years of experience and knowledge of local healthcare regulations typically stand out in this regional job market.
An LPN here manages medication orders, monitors health changes, assists with medical appointments, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams. Emphasis is on individualized care plans and compliance with care standards, ensuring person-centered support for clients.
While both LPNs and LVNs provide foundational nursing care, Massachusetts licenses LPNs specifically. The duties often overlap, but LPNs here focus more on care coordination and documentation aligned with state DDS guidelines, compared to some LVN roles in other states.
Many LPNs in Massachusetts pursue RN licensure through bridge programs, leveraging their clinical experience. This progression often includes obtaining an associate's or bachelor's degree while gaining hands-on skills, expanding responsibilities and earning potential in nursing.
At Seven Hills Foundation, LPNs contribute by delivering compassionate, person-centered care tailored to individual needs, supporting independence and well-being. Their medical expertise is pivotal in fostering a respectful and safe environment aligned with the organization’s empowerment philosophy.
Beyond competitive pay, Seven Hills Foundation provides full-time LPNs with health insurance via Blue Cross Blue Shield, an enhanced retirement plan with up to 33% employer match, student loan assistance, tuition discounts, and a home mortgage initiative, reflecting strong employee support.
The $41/hour rate exceeds the average for licensed practical nurses in the Mashpee area, reflecting the organization's commitment to attracting qualified professionals and rewarding the specialized care provided within their community-focused programs.
While on-call responsibilities exist, Seven Hills Foundation balances this with generous paid vacation, personal days, and holidays. This approach supports LPNs’ well-being, ensuring they can maintain a healthy work-life dynamic despite the demands of medical support roles.
Yes, applicants must have a valid US driver’s license with a clean record, as the role involves accompanying individuals to medical appointments and requires reliable transportation within the community service framework.
