Job Summary
Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is seeking to employ an AGACNP/PA-C with specialization in Endocrinology to join their growing employed physician group on the West Coast of Florida.
Sarasota is located approximately 60 minutes south of Tampa and 1.5 hours north of Fort Myers on the West Coast of Florida. The area is known for its nationally recognized schools, arts & cultural events, great restaurants, and minutes from the beautiful beaches of Siesta Key, Longboat Key and Lido Key.
Responsibilities include:
- Join an established and growing practice of 4 Endocrinologists and 1 APP.
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Will see patients at two practice locations, Sarasota and Venice.
- Will work closely with endocrinologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and metabolic conditions.
- Prior experience in managing a diabetic patient population is highly desirable.

Requirements:
- Current NCCPA or ANCC certification required and must also have an active license by the State of Florida by the time of hire.
- Board Certified Physician Assistant, Board Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who has active, relevant and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 500 acute care inpatient encounters over two years).
- Board Certified Adult/Family Nurse Practitioner, who has active, relevant, and routine experience in 2 of the last 4 years (defined as at least 1,000 acute care inpatient encounters over two years).
- BLS required.

The PA II typically work in a set acute care setting managing patient care which can include critical care, OB/GYN, Oncology, and Pediatrics. A PA is a graduate with a master's degree or certificate from an accredited physician assistant program at an accredited school or college. The PA functions as part of the multidisciplinary health team in accordance with privileges approved by the credentialing committee to provide high-quality, cost-effective advanced care to patients. The PA is licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine and the Board of Osteopathic Medicine to perform medical services delegated by the supervising physician(s).
Required Qualifications
- Require bachelor degree from accredited physician assistant training program.- Require current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
