Job Overview
We have a full time Intake Coordinator position available.
The pay range for this position is $22.94 hourly to $31.20 hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and department equity.
Responsibilities
- Responds to new patient inquiries from referral sources or potential patients. Maintains list of referrals.
- Transcribes orders.
- Enters patient demographic information, updates insurance information, submits new patient documentation and assigns new medical record numbers.
- Reviews future orders for new and established patients daily.
- Answers the phone, covers the front desk and checks patients in/out as required.
- Reviews charts for signed consent forms.
- Reviews and follows up on cancellations and no-shows.
- Schedule visits for offsite services based on the requests of the care team and patients/families.
- Coordinate patient visits with international office at the affiliate hospital as applicable.
- Collaborates with Care managers to collect demographics, set up records, and process appointments for international outreach trips.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma/GED required
Experience
2 years of experience in a hospital and healthcare systems and practices required
Preferred Skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Experience in patient access and insurance verification
Microsoft office proficiency
Bilingual Spanish/English
