Job Summary and Responsibilities
Performs a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s).
Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, and maintaining operating room equipment. Assisting in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly OR environment, and transporting patients as required.
An incumbent is required to understand and apply Standard Precaution guidelines and other safety/security standards to all work activities.
Job Requirements
One year of related work experience in an acute care hospital that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
Post-high school training specific to health care (i.e., central processing, health care assistant) preferred. Work experience in perioperative or as a military medic/corpsman is preferred.
Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
