Job Overview

Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for a full-time / night shift Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Unit.  You will provide direct patient care for children in the treatment of pediatric burns and craniofacial conditions. This involves providing Med-Surg and ICU level of nursing care.

Hours:  This part-time night shift position will work 72 hours bi-weekly (7:00 pm - 7:30 am) and rotate every 3rd weekend.  

Responsibilities

  • The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in a collaborative, family-centered environment. 
  • The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. 
  • This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BSN degree or in process
  • Ohio RN License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:

  • 2+ years bedside RN experience (will consider new grads)
  • Pediatric and ICU experience
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
