We offer ongoing training and development opportunities for licensed and unlicensed healthcare team members, and have best in class clinical resources for training, education, and point of care support.

How you make a difference

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in patient care by contributing to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. • Implements treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, administering medications, including IV therapy (if certified), and performing diagnostic tests according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborates in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift, adhering to safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions while responding to codes or health emergencies within standard guidelines.
  • Assists in medical or minor surgical procedures, implements nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and documents nursing encounters using SOAP charting, ensuring effective communication with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel.

Frequently asked questions

Wellpath’s Clinic LPN role focuses on providing compassionate care tailored to vulnerable populations in Oak Creek, emphasizing non-judgmental support and community health. This position often involves working with overlooked patients, requiring cultural sensitivity and a mission-driven mindset distinct from typical clinical nursing jobs.

Besides the mandatory LPN licensure and CPR certification, Oak Creek employers including Wellpath appreciate additional credentials such as IV therapy certification and specialized training in outpatient or ambulatory care, aligning with the area’s healthcare needs for practical, versatile nursing skills.

Clinic LPNs in outpatient environments juggle diverse responsibilities like patient assessments, medication administration, and minor procedures, often with less immediate RN oversight. This requires strong autonomy, quick decision-making, and an adaptable approach to varied patient needs compared to the structured routines found in hospital settings.

Clinic LPNs in Oak Creek can progress by gaining certifications in IV therapy or specialty areas, moving towards roles like LPN clinical coordinator or transitioning into RN programs. Companies like Wellpath often support ongoing education, facilitating upward mobility within community-focused health services.

Wellpath fosters a people-first culture with a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion, which shapes the Clinic LPN role into a collaborative and supportive environment. Employees often benefit from wellness programs, flexible schedules, and a mission-driven atmosphere that values their impact on underserved populations.

Wellpath’s Clinic LPN jobs integrate comprehensive training and a focus on serving vulnerable groups, combined with unique benefits like daily pay and tuition assistance. This contrasts with many outpatient clinics by emphasizing social responsibility and holistic employee wellbeing alongside clinical duties.

Clinic LPN salaries in Oak Creek generally range from $48,000 to $58,000 annually, reflecting local cost of living and healthcare demand. This is slightly higher than the national average for practical nurses due to the region’s competitive market and Wellpath’s attractive benefit offerings.

Oak Creek’s expanding outpatient services create steady LPN demand, but Wellpath’s mission-driven focus means candidates who demonstrate empathy and community commitment are favored. The hiring process can be competitive, especially for roles involving direct clinical care to underserved populations.

Prospective Clinic LPNs should emphasize competencies in patient education, medication administration, and experience with diverse, vulnerable groups. Highlighting adaptability to rotating shifts and a dedication to equity and inclusion aligns well with Wellpath’s values and Oak Creek’s community health needs.

Clinic LPNs at Wellpath coordinate closely with RNs, physicians, and support staff to execute treatment plans, manage controlled substances, and respond to emergencies. This teamwork ensures comprehensive care delivery in Oak Creek’s ambulatory settings, fostering both clinical efficiency and patient trust.
