Job Summary
Essen Healthcare is expanding its behavioral health services and seeking a Part-Time Hybrid Child Psychologist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience providing psychological support to children and adolescents, working collaboratively with families and other healthcare providers to ensure whole-person care. This role offers flexible hours in a hybrid setting (in-person in the Bronx and telehealth).
Responsibilities
- Provide psychological evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, or developmental disorders
- Conduct individual and family therapy sessions
- Collaborate with pediatricians, psychiatrists, school counselors, and social workers
- Participate in care team meetings and contribute to case discussions
- Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in EMR systems
- Educate families on mental health topics, interventions, and coping strategies
- Contribute to the expansion of behavioral health services in the community
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an accredited program
- Licensed Psychologist in New York State
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children/adolescents in clinical settings
- Familiarity with diverse populations and culturally competent care
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills
- Comfortable with telehealth platforms and hybrid care models
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience in urban or community health settings
$65 an hour
