Location: St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO
We are seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN), sometimes referred to as a Telemetry RN or Tele RN. A Tele RN specializing in attending to patients within our telemetry units, including those needing cardiac monitoring. The Tele RN will monitor and interpret our patient's vital signs, such as heart rate, heart rhythm, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation level. Continuous monitoring of patients, by the Telemetry RN enables gathering real-time data to make informed decisions regarding patient care, ensuring early detection of abnormalities or changes in the patient's condition.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms on telemetry equipment.
- Perform frequent patient assessments, including vital signs and cardiac status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient progress.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirement
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
- Ventilator Management experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
