Job Description
This position will ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner at the Omni Louisville Hotel's Speakeasy, Pin & Proof.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service
- Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing clean menu in front of guest
- Answer phone and record reservations for large parties
- Control high volume outside of restaurant
- Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and well being of guests
- Assist servers when needed
- Thank every guest upon departure, invite them to return, and wish them a fond farewell
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience as host in similar dining atmosphere or other relevant F&B experience
- Open Table knowledge preferred
- Stong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to handle sensitive guest situations
- Developed customer service skills with refined phone etiquette
- Professional appearance, high energy and strong organizational skills
- Works well with others, pro-active team player
- Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance.
- Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be STAR certified.
- Must be Food Handlers certified.
