Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and patient-focused Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our endocrinology team. This advanced practice provider will assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and metabolic syndromes. The role is primarily outpatient-based, with potential involvement in inpatient consultations.Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive histories and physical exams focused on endocrine-related conditions.
Evaluate and manage patients with diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, gestational), thyroid dysfunction, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and other metabolic diseases.
Adjust and initiate medications including insulin and hormone therapies under collaborative protocols.
Interpret laboratory values, radiologic studies, and other diagnostic tests relevant to endocrine pathology.
Provide in-depth patient education on disease processes, medication regimens, lifestyle modification, and self-management techniques (e.g., glucose monitoring, CGM, insulin pumps).
Collaborate with endocrinologists and other team members to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Document all clinical findings, treatment plans, and follow-ups in the EMR in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor patient progress and respond to abnormal labs, follow-up concerns, and medication refills.
Participate in patient care coordination, quality initiatives, and population health efforts.

Education:
PA: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Master’s degree.
NP: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing, certified in Family, Adult, or Adult-Gerontology Primary or Acute Care.
Licensure/Certification:
Active state license as a PA or NP.
Board certification (NCCPA for PAs; AANP/ANCC for NPs).
DEA license and state prescriptive authority.
BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in endocrinology or internal medicine strongly preferred.
Experience with diabetes technology (CGMs, insulin pumps) is highly desirable.
