What Will You Do in This Role?
As a Social Services Director, you will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the Social Services department in accordance with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics and in compliance with Federal, State, and Local guidelines and regulations, company policies and procedures, and governing agencies. You will also be responsible for fostering a climate, policies, and routines that enable residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity. This climate should provide residents with the highest practical level of physical, mental and psychosocial well-being and quality of life. As the Social Services Director, you will be responsible for identifying psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs along with providing, developing, and/or aiding in the access of services to meet those needs.
Do You Have What It Takes?
- A fire and passion for working with seniors
- A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
- Certified, licensed, or registered in the state of practice
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services field required
- Minimum of one year of supervisory social work experience in a health care setting working primarily with the geriatric population required
- Minimum of two years of prior experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
