Overview
HealthPro Heritage has a great Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) Opportunity.
Need: PRN
Location: Pleasant View in Barberton, OH
Setting:Long-term-care
Rate Range: $30-$37/hr based on years of experience
✅ Reasons Pleasant View could be a good fit for a PTA
Focus on rehab, therapy & meaningful patient progress. Pleasant View provides “skilled nursing & rehabilitation” services, with a dedicated therapy team (PT, OT, speech) under a Rehab Director. That means as a PTA you’d help implement physical-therapy programs designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence for residents.
Opportunity to make a real difference long-term. Many patients in a skilled-nursing facility have chronic conditions, mobility impairments, or are recovering from injury. Working there gives you the chance to help residents maintain or regain quality of life over extended periods — something that can feel more meaningful than short-term or occasional outpatient visits. That sense of purpose is one of the motivating pros for many PTAs.
Stability and diverse experience. Because PTAs can work in many settings — hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, long-term care, etc. — a facility like Pleasant View offers stability and a structured environment.
Team-based, interdisciplinary environment. Pleasant View’s therapy services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy — giving PTAs the chance to collaborate with varied professionals, which can broaden skills and provide a more holistic approach to resident care.
Potential work schedule flexibility & benefits. Many long-term care/rehab centers — including facilities like Pleasant View — may offer full-time, part-time, or PRN (as-needed) schedules. For someone wanting flexibility or wanting to balance life and work, this could be a plus.
Pleasant View’s stated mission includes providing “skilled nursing & rehab” and “comprehensive care” — so they clearly value rehabilitation services as part of resident care.
For a PTA, this setting offers consistent opportunities to apply therapy skills (mobility, strength, balance, injury recovery, pain management) daily in a structured environment.
You may have room to grow and learn — therapy teams there are described as “dedicated,” with oversight by a Rehab Director. That suggests organization, structure, and support for staff.
