Specific Responsibilities Would Include
Position Summary:
Centric Brands is looking for a dynamic, creative and resourceful Sr. Director of Demand Planning and Inventory Management to join its Lifestyle division. This individual must be a self-starter and team player who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited about joining a team on a journey to accelerate transformation across Centric Brands.
The Sr. Director of Demand Planning & Inventory Management will be responsible for oversight of the short term/long term planning by style/color/account to support capacity requirements and business strategies as well as the achievement of financial and inventory objectives for a multi-channel business. This position will provide guidance and hands-on oversight for the demand planning and inventory planning functions and be the bridge between the Retailer, Sales teams, Operations and Sourcing/Production. The net result should be increased wholesale, DTC, and retail sales, greater profitability and improved inventory turn, both internally and for our retail customers. In addition, the Sr. Director will ensure timely and accurate communication of weekly, monthly, and adjusted seasonal forecasts and inventory levels and buys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the demand and supply planning function, including 12-18 month demand forecasts, annual sales and margin forecasts, and inventory management as it relates to replenishment products.
- Clearly communicate variances, providing supporting details, and mitigation plans as necessary.
- Communicate any risks/opportunities to the demand plan due to retail trends, or supply constraints and work with cross functional teams as needed.
- Supervise/challenge inventory levels and fulfillment by color/ style/ customer.
- Create clear and actionable recaps for leaership to make fact-based decisions.
- Own system initiatives and implementations as they pertain to Demand Planning & Inventory management.
- Establish WOS targets, conduct product segmentation, analyze demand to ensure that product flows as needed.
- Oversee size analysis for accounts on a regular bases to ensure we are purchasing goods in the correct sizes.
- Onboard new replenishment based businesses as the Lifestyle platform continues to grow.
- Align Lifestyle replenishment businesses to work on the same cadence with monthly demand and supply meetings and deliverables.
- Oversee inventory planning, including managing to WOS goals, inventory turn goals, and minimizing unneccessary ATS/aged goods.
- Partner with Sales, Finance and Sourcing/Production teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Identify and implement improvements to demand planning and inventory management processes and align across Lifestyle platform.
- Develop, retain and grow talent within the Demand Planning and Inventory Management team.
- Successfully oversee VMI programs with key retail accounts.
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of experience with 5-7 years of demonstrated related experience in Demand Planning and Inventory Management
- Major department store training program preferred buyer/planner on retail side as well as wholesale retail/replenishment analysis in a seasonality driven product category - in addition, knowledge of department store replenishment systems is helpful
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong retail math and analytical skills with ability to analyze data, identify trends and develop insights to improve inventory position and forecasting
- Ability to think both strategically and execute tactically
- Knowledge of various forecasting techniques and S&OP processess
- Ability to partner and collaborate at all levels with multiple areas of the business
- Be able to influence others based on analysist and forecasting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey a point of view
- Must be proficient at creating new reporting tools to stay ahead of our competition and accounts' analytical expectations
- Entreprenurial mindset and resourceful - Capable of problem solving
- Primary decision making will revolve around accurate projections, managing supply and forecasting inventory and shipments. This will increase wholesale purchases/shipments, inventory turn and profitability
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, communicate effectively with leadership ad influence decision making
- Familiarity with demand planning software and data analysis tools, a plus
- Experience with VMI retail programs or store level allocation
- Experience with VMI vendor programs
- SAP experience, a plus
- Tillerman experience, a plus

Salary Range: $165,000 - $195,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
