Frequently asked questions

Foley, AL offers a less saturated market for Physical Therapists compared to Birmingham or Mobile, providing greater chances for new hires. However, local healthcare facilities may have differing resource levels, so adaptability to smaller community settings is valuable when seeking positions here.

While a valid Alabama state license is mandatory, additional certifications like geriatric or neurologic physical therapy can enhance employability. Given Foley's skilled nursing focus, credentials emphasizing long-term care rehabilitation are particularly respected by local employers.

Reliant Rehabilitation emphasizes therapy in skilled nursing facilities, so therapists often manage patient screenings, ongoing care plans, and discharge strategies. The company supports comprehensive clinical documentation and supervises rehab aides, fostering a collaborative environment focused on vulnerable populations.

Reliant promotes from within, offering a clinical ladder for therapists to advance into leadership roles. Through ongoing education platforms and mentorship from seasoned clinicians, Physical Therapists can develop both clinical expertise and management skills in a supportive culture.

Physical Therapist salaries in Foley typically range between $70,000 and $85,000 annually, influenced by experience, specific certifications, and facility type. Reliant Rehabilitation tends to offer competitive packages, including benefits like 401(k) matching and paid time off, which supplement base compensation.

Proficiency in clinical documentation, patient evaluation, and rehabilitation protocols tailored to skilled nursing environments is crucial. Additionally, strong communication abilities and familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid billing guidelines boost employability in Foley’s healthcare market.

Reliant Rehabilitation offers flexible scheduling options to accommodate diverse therapist needs. Their PTO share and buy-back programs help maintain work-life balance, making it easier for Physical Therapists to manage professional responsibilities alongside personal commitments.

A common misunderstanding is that Physical Therapists only perform direct patient treatments. In reality, therapists also supervise assistants, manage case documentation, and ensure compliance with federal regulations, playing a vital role in facility-wide rehab program success.

The company provides sponsored continuing education courses and clinical leadership support, enabling therapists to stay current with best practices. This commitment helps Physical Therapists sharpen their clinical and managerial abilities while advancing their careers within Reliant.

Reliant values a therapist-led approach with decades of clinical experience embedded in management. Their culture prioritizes internal growth, teamwork, and quality patient care, making it appealing for professionals seeking a supportive and progressive rehab therapy environment.
