What You'll Be Doing
Performs functions above that of General Mechanic I. Works unsupervised in the maintenance, repairs and installation of all hospital systems. Does not have a specialty, outside license, or degree.
- Inspects and operates equipment, air conditioners, heat pumps, refrigerators, freezers, water cooler, etc for proper functioning
- maintains and repairs- fan motors, electrical connections, thermostats gauges, pressure cutouts, etc.
- Install new equipment
- Connects tubing, solders joints and installs wiring and controls, etc.
- Replaces components
- Performs work in a timely manner
- Performs basic repairs to electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems
- Tests equipment for proper operation and working condition
- Repairs hospital beds
- Performs all repairs in a timely manner
- Performs snow removal
- order supplies, material and equipment
- Moves supplies, equipment, trash and scrap materials
What We're Looking For
- High School or equivalent
- 2-4 years in trade, hospital preferred
- Valid NJ Driver's
Varied/Flex with rotating weekends and holidays
