Job Overview
Shriners Children’s Philadelphia is where hope and healing meet. Our team of highly specialized physicians provides comprehensive care for children with fractures, sports injuries, orthopedic conditions, scoliosis, spinal cord conditions, and spine injuries. We have an opportunity for a per diem Security Officer.
Responsibilities
The Security Officer provides security and safety services for the hospital to ensure the protection of the patient, parents, visitors, public and staff as well as the hospital property.
- Patrols buildings and grounds; and inspects doors, windows and locks to determine level of security according to schedule.
- Secures all doors at specified hours and unlocks doors at prescribed hours.
- Responds quickly and effectively to emergent and non-emergent situations.
- Ensures that all visitors register properly and are issued visitor passes in accordance with regulation
- Displays courtesy and a pleasant demeanor towards all visitors and directs them to their destination.
- Assists in lost and found, key control and other department services.
- Directs traffic and patrols parking areas and accurately issues warnings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Three years security or law enforcement experience preferred
