Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Legacy Health is currently seeking experienced clinician educators to join our dynamic and well-established yet expanding Academic Hospitalist Program.

- Exciting clinical work at two hospitals in Portland, Oregon: Emanuel Medical Center and Good Samaritan Medical Center

- Collegial and collaborative relationship with nursing, subspecialists and ancillary services
- Clinician educator opportunity:
- Attending physician supervising Legacy’s own Internal Medicine housestaff and rotating students for 8-12 ward weeks per year with additional attending duties on admitting shifts
- Abundant opportunities for resident/medical student education, quality work, and committee work
- Dedicated multi-disciplinary rounds
- Approximately 15 shifts/month, mix of day, swing, and night shifts
- Nocturnist opportunity:
- Provide comprehensive care for hospitalized patients during nocturnal shifts including supervisorial responsibility for Internal Medicine housestaff
- Approximately 10-12 night shifts/month
Successful candidates will have the following education and experience:
- Graduate of a 4-year medical school or equivalent and completion of Internal Medicine residency program
- Board Certified or eligible in Internal Medicine
- Clinical experience in IM (clinical educator experience preferred)
- Current ACLS certificate from the American Heart Association
- 1-year experience preferred
