Our Outpatient Department specializes in providing follow up care for our patients in our Outpatient Clinic, our Injury Clinic, Telehealth, and our Outreach Clinics. In this crucial role, you will support our mission for providing stellar healthcare services for our pediatric orthopedic patients. Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction and clinical support to nursing staff to promote quality patient care and a safe work environment.
- Monitor staff performance, attendance/tardiness, and professional work environment with a team approach.
- Supervise the orientation of new staff, educating staff on policies and procedures and always look for performance improvement opportunities.
- Maintains effective communication with all levels of hospital personnel.
- Reviews staff documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Provides support and direction for telemedicine activities.
- Facilitates patient care by managing and individualizing care for patients and their families and helping with decision making, patient education, and coordination of services.
- Maintain clinic process and flow to avoid delays and ensure best use of available staff.
- Ensures staff members maintain competencies for all clincial procedures.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree (BSN)
3 years’ experience in Nursing
1 years’ experience in a supervisory position
Active RN license in State of practice
BLS and PALS
Preferred
1 year pediatric or orthopedic nursing
