Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Interventional Radiology Tech at St. Vincent, you will help patients and medical teams perform intricate radiological procedures so they can diagnose and treat medical conditions with precision.
Every day, you will be responsible for operating radiological equipment and assisting during interventional procedures. You will be expected to ensure patient comfort and safety while delivering high-quality images and data to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
To be successful in this role, you must have extensive knowledge of radiological equipment and techniques, along with excellent communication skills to interact with patients and medical professionals effectively.
- Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients
- Hyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activity
- Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures
- Must be a Registered Radiographic Technologist, certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - or registry eligible within 1 year of hire date
- Must have a valid license to practice in the State of Arkansas
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program - new graduates welcome to apply
- CPR certification required
