Schedule –
Neurologist: M-F, clinic. Daily rounding on hospital patients as needed. No more than 10 days of call per month.
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist to join our dynamic team. The Neurologist will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of neurological conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role includes daily rounding on hospitalized patients as needed, as well as collaboration with other specialties to deliver comprehensive neurological care.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles (e.g., stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, neuropathies).
- Perform comprehensive neurological examinations and interpret diagnostic studies such as EEG, EMG, MRI, and CT.
- Provide outpatient consultations and follow-up care in clinic.
- Participate in daily inpatient rounds for consults and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and other specialists on patient management.
- Participate in stroke team activities (if applicable), including acute stroke evaluation.
- Document findings and care plans accurately and in a timely manner in the EMR.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and long-term care planning.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
- May be involved in teaching medical students or residents, depending on the practice setting.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Neurology.
- Active and unrestricted state medical license.
- DEA license and credentials necessary for prescribing.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fellowship training in subspecialties such as stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular, or neurocritical care (optional).
- Experience in using EMR systems Epic
- Participation in call rotation and hospital-based care.
