Job Summary
The Payroll Specialist is responsible to perform daily payroll operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and document all payroll records
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Reconcile and validate payroll prior to transmission
- Understand proper taxation of salaries, benefits and other factors
- Process and monitor garnishment orders and other deductions that impact payroll specifications
- Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
- Detect and process issues related to uncollected payroll checks
- Assist with year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc)
- Process manual checks
- Review data/files received from HR
- Research and email appropriate audience of file issues
- Address employee’s payroll and timekeeping inquiries and concerns
Qualifications
- Associates Degree with and additional of 3 years’ experience and/or
- BS/BA in business, accounting or relevant experience and 2 years’ experience
- Must have experience with processing of payroll
- Must have experience with timekeeping
- Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
- Working knowledge of Net-suite, Kronos or ADP payroll system or equivalent payroll & timekeeping software
$24.00-$27.00 an hour
