Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Environmental Services Technician (EVS) Tech, you will provide critical environmental services and meticulous attention to cleanliness, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Every day you will expertly clean and disinfect patient rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces, manage waste disposal, operate specialized equipment, and meticulously follow infection control protocols to maintain impeccable standards.
To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a dependable, conscientious demeanor, contributing significantly to a healthy and comfortable facility environment
- Follows standard precautions while on duty.
- Ensures a safe environment: clearly identifies areas that are wet or when surfaces are unsafe for walking.
- Respects patient/family privacy and confidentiality.
- Allows for culture and religious beliefs in providing services.
- Approaches a child in a calm manner.
- Explains procedures before starting.
