Responsibilities
The Operations Analyst will analyze data to identify and implement solutions for business processes to improve business results. This role partners with peers across the business to align and support operations strategy while working cross functionally to drive organization initiatives. The Operations Analyst is responsible for identifying operational efficiencies that improve the value of human touch.
An Operations Analyst fulfills the primary responsibilities of the role by executing the following duties and tasks:
- Use data analysis to analyze trends and recommend and implement solutions to improve processes and operational efficiencies.
- Recommend data driven solutions to issues within the department and partner with business stakeholders on implementation, communication, and progress of projects.
- Partner cross functionally to focus on resource development and allocation for various projects.
- Embrace innovation to increase automation of tasks where a human touch does not add value.
- Create and deliver excellence where manual work adds value to the customer experience.
- Work with leadership to understand results of operations processes, and work with teams on training and quality assessments to drive process improvements.
- Leads or participate in cross functional project teams while maintaining communication on progress and results.
- May assist leadership team as needed in planning/budgeting.
- Identifies issues with processes and thoroughly vets the scope of the issue and offers solutions.
- Update, implement and maintain written operational procedures.
- Training and process oversight of third-party vendors as needed.
- Support system testing as needed.
Qualifications
- 2 - 3 years of experience in the insurance industry preferably with workers compensation background
- Ability to make decisions incorporating diverse perspectives.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organization and customer service skills
- Strong customer orientation including strong interpersonal, communication and consultation skills.
- Ability to manage and influence in a cross-functional matrix environment.
- Strong discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information always exhibited.
- Ability to manage multiple complex assignments while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills coupled with strategic/big picture orientation.
- Proven record of setting delivery commitments and meeting
- Basic understanding of data analysis tools including but not limited to Excel, SQL, Python, R
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Prefer one of the following: CPCU, ARM, or other insurance designation
