Job Summary and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The incumbent provides drug information and assists physician in providing appropriate drug therapy for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The incumbent compounds, prepares, mixes, manufactures and dispenses medicines and preparations. The incumbent also oversees medications prepared by Pharmacy Technicians.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
- Current California Pharmacist license required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy preferred
- Two years of experience in a hospital pharmacy preferred
- Current ENLS and PALS certifications preferred
