Position Summary:
Responsible for daily operations of Plant Engineering at designated facility. Responsible for routine and preventative maintenance of all mechanical, electrical and general maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities
- Coordinates daily activities of Plant Engineering personnel.
- Coordinates daily utilization of building automation systems and related equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining all required regulatory documentation and participating in document reviews.
- Responsible for maintaining all testing and inspection documentation and participating in document reviews.
- Responsible for scheduling all Plant Engineering personnel.
- Assists in selection and hiring of all Plant Engineering personnel.
- Completes annual performance evaluations for designated technicians.
- Assists Multi-Site Facility Manager in management of FTE’s and budget.
- Provides technical support and hands on assistance for technical and critical tasks.
- Maintains proper working environment, insures that quality work is being performed by all personnel.
- Assists in all areas of maintenance as needed.
- Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Local travel required.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals graduating from a trade or vocational school.
Minimum Experience:
3 years Mechanical Technician experience with at least 1 year at a supervisory level.
Licensure Requirement:
Employee must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license Class D and state mandated Insurance coverage. Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.
